Life sized Amy Winehouse.

I received confirmation from the organisers of the Croydon Fashion Festival on Monday 15th June that they would like to commission me to build a life sized Lego Sculpture of Amy Winehouse, with only five days until the event. It would normally take me five days at least to produce a Lego bust, so I certainly had a challenge on my hands!

I was invited to finish the sculpture in Croydon Town Centre on Saturday 20th June, where there was a competition to guess the number of Lego pieces that made up the sculpture.

Even though I can't produce my best work in only six days, the sculpture is proved to be very popular with the public and the commission seems to have been a huge success.

This is by far my most high profile work to date, with massive coverage on the internet and in the press.
